Carolina Lopez, AIA, LEED AP, is also promoted to vice president at SmithGroupJJR, continuing in her role as director of operations at the firm鈥檚 Chicago office. With 21 years in the architecture and engineering industry, her project experience encompasses some of the firm鈥檚 most complex projects. Lopez started with SmithGroupJJR in 2000 at its Ann Arbor office, transitioning a few years later to its Detroit location. In 2008, she relocated to the firm鈥檚 growing Chicago office and was promoted in 2010 to serve as its operations director. Lopez is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy, where she earned both bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degrees in architecture.
