Frozen state funds thawed
Construction of the career/technical unit building 700 at Liberty Ranch High School is in full swing. Thanks to a thaw in frozen new school construction funds from the state, the district will now be able to pay off a $2 million bridge loan taken in December 2009 to finish the building.

Board approves $16 million for school improvements
WICHITA _ The Wichita school board today approved about $16 million in construction contracts for bond projects, including a renovation of East High School and installment of artificial turf at three high schools.
